Darren Higgs

Meet Darren Higgs 🥋

Darren Higgs is the Founder and Principal Trainer of Quantum Martial Arts — a thriving, world-class martial arts academy built on passion, leadership, discipline and community.

With 25 years of dedicated training, competition and coaching experience, Darren has immersed himself in the lifelong study of martial arts. His journey has taken him across the world as both a competitor and Australian Team Captain, culminating in the prestigious achievement of becoming the World Ju Jitsu Champion 🌏🏆. Yet despite these accomplishments, Darren firmly believes that martial arts is a never-ending journey of learning, growth and self-improvement.

While Darren is proud of his titles and qualifications, his greatest passion lies in helping students unlock their own potential. Whether it’s watching a child earn their very first belt, seeing a student overcome personal obstacles, or helping someone build confidence both on and off the mats, these moments are what truly inspire him every day.

Darren is known for creating an energetic, welcoming and motivating environment inside the dojo. His classes combine high-level technical instruction with positivity, encouragement and fun, ensuring students of all ages feel challenged, supported and inspired. He strongly believes martial arts should not only develop skill and fitness, but also confidence, resilience, respect and leadership for life 💪✨

A passionate martial artist himself, Darren continues to actively train and lead by example, sharing his enthusiasm with students and instructors alike. His mission is simple — to help every student become the very best version of themselves, both in martial arts and in life.
