The Japanese martial art of Jujitsu is now being taught to children and adults of all ages right in the heart of the inner west. Japan is where Jujitsu was born and can trace its lineage back 1000 years. “Ju Jitsu in the heart of Balmain” retains the traditional elements important when learning martial arts.
The timeless traditions of Jujitsu are taught in a dojo or training hall. You wear a simple white uniform called a “Gi” and bow as a sign of mutual respect. This Japanese Jujitsu dojo has a calm Zen-like stillness right amidst the hustle and bustle of the busy inner west. A hub of conscious learning, students are encouraged by more senior and experienced students to thrive in this non-competitive environment.
